Barnsley Public Art Maps are a series of map visualisations that form part of a new public art strategy for Barnsley; creating a practical and inspirational guide for future collaborative art commissioning in the district.
March 2015 / Barnsley / Beam
Live Works were approached by Beam to contribute to the development of a new public art strategy in the Barnsley area. The aim was to represent the existing art agencies, assets and resources in the area and to then consider how these could be enhanced, through marking key corridors and entrance points to the region. At a community scale, the strategies aimed to provide a framework for local stakeholders to collectively consider the strategic and detailed importance of public art in their neighbourhoods.
